I'm in the market for some new wheels and tires. I have 31x10.5s now on the stock 15x7s (I think)
I'm hearing I need 4" b/s but just wanted to see what everyone has had luck with. Some wheels are only offered in 3.75 or 4.25, I just want to be safe since I rub the lca's now at full lock.
Before, you say it, yes I could have searched, blah blah blah, but I had a blowout and am pissed and want to start a dialogue, so shoot me

nice, I had BFG atko's on my last jeep. so no rubbing at all with the 4" I'd assume right?
are those D-window Cragars? can't really tell from pic but I think I see the pinstripe. I had those on my ranger and soft 8s on my last jeep. (although had some clearance issues with the caliper) can't beat the price. I may wind up with your same setup. I'm really liking the Firestone Destination M/Ts though too.

sorry, one more thing... how did you mount your d-rings on the front? are they welded to something and mounted to the stock hook locations? I was thinking of doing the exact same thing since mine didn't come with hooks and d-rings are better anyway. really like your jeep dude

i'm running 3 inch backspacing, but i'm on a 10 inch rim. (11 inch when you factor in the beadlock).
match that with 13.5 wide tire and i'm almost at full width stance.

And thanks it gets the job done, and its always a work in progress.
Here is another picture of the rims, and the women. Haha. I don't take many pictures of the jeep because my camera has been broken for a whole now.

Im running 15x12 wheels with 3.5" backspacing with 31x10.5's and they dont rub at all just had to trim a little of the fender flare(front bottom). All this was done by PO and i know too wide of wheel for the 10.5's they look dumb, looking to get some 12.5's. But as for you if you crawl a lot i wouldn't go much further than 4" maybe 3.75" backspacing cuz mine with 3.5" sit out past the stock flares about 1-2"s and im near positive will rub the flares with some flex haven't got around to testing it out yet but from the looks of it im sure they will.

Wonder if I'd be ok with 3.5" and better off? Why does everyone say 4" is perfect? Anyone know what stock wheels have? After my 3" lift I didn't get an adj track bar and so with my axle pushed over on the drivers... that side doesn't rub but the pass does so I'm thinking just about another 3/4" to 1" b/s would be perfect.

Nope, I don't crawl, but I know what it's like having tires stick out and throw stuff up.
