I don't use armor. I prefer dents. It adds character.

Doesn't seem many people mentioned tank armor. I was told if I could buy only one piece of armor to start with it has to be tank armor. I have yet to install it but I got the Tomken tank skid. What do you guys think?

I have never scraped my tank on anything, and I been through some pretty wicked trails. It's not a bad idea to install a tank skid. "The more armor the better...right?" For me, rocker armor/rock sliders was my first priority! I got my front bumper for $150 bucks, and I'm working on drawing up a rear tube bumper now

Now that it's been a couple years since I last posted in this thread, and asked about the need for tank armor, I have more test points. Here's mine in order of most frequent "hits" to least.

- Diffs
- Rear bumper
- Sliders
- Tank
- Belly
- Front bumper (I think the front bumper might never been hit)
