I have an 85 XJ with 2.5L engine. Well with it running in the single digits overnight lately I have been considering installing a tank style engine heater but not sure just where to splice into the hoses. I have been using one of the magnetic heaters on the oil pan, but there really isn't any large flat areas on it to make complete contact and having to crawl under it each evening in the snow isn't much fun either.

So, has anyone here ever installed one of these to be able to share how it could be done?

I tried looking at instructions online but couldn't find anything that made sense.
