Hey guys, I just installed my 3" Zone AAL lift this weekend. My jeep only has 90K so the existing leafs are still pretty strong. Anyways, it hasn';t settled any yet but the front ended up netting 3.5 inches and the back a smidge over 5 inches!! I am sure that will settle some but this jeep looks HUGE for a 3 inch lift right now. LOL My question is that I am getting light vibes alost from the get go....nothing too serious. I assume a TC drop would cure this and down the line do a SYE. I am more curious about when I am going over 35 MPH and I let up off the accelerator I get a short grind sound.....almost feels like something turning over near the rear. Once I accelerate or remain coasting it is fine......just when I let up off the gas is when it happens. ANy ideas?
I will get some pics up this week of the lift etc.

Your front ujoint on the rear shaft is binding up, there is not a lot of angle in that front ujoint before the slip yoke contacts the driveshaft.
I had the exact same issue. I got the impression if I wasn't putting any rotational pressure (accelerating or coasting down a steep incline) on the drive shaft something else was taking the extra pressure resulting in that grinding sound. Anyway, SYE and problem solved.

How long before any damage is done? I can spring for the SYE in a few weeks I think. I won't do any major damage will I until then? Is the SYE a hard install?

Go to you tube and look up "hack n' tap SYE" and click the first vid. See if it looks like something you can do. Also consider a small axle shim. If you can't do the SYE quickly, then a combo of a 1" TC drop, front DS, and like 3* axle shims may solve the issue for less than a new SYE kit.

Yes how long before any damage is done? I just put new leafs on mine and get vibs as well. Since the rear is now higher then the front. A tc drop is in the works. Just need to know how long I can go.

The grinding is the two yokes hitting each other. I should take a picture of what my old drive shaft looks like looks like. But when its binding its putting pressure on the tc bearing. I'd go with a cheap hack n tap as soon as you can. Im on a 5.5" lift so mine was pretty bad. No damage to mine tc bearing though
