Default Used lift advice

Ok so here is the deal. I have a 97 cherokee i just bought a few months ago. I plan on putting 31's on it and getting a 3" lift. I was looking at buying all new but my cousin told me the other day he was planning on getting a bigger lift for his xj and would sell me his. I am not sure on the brand but he has had it for around 4-5 years with no issues. The leaf springs are starting to sag a little bit but i assume relocation brackets would fix that.
I will probably get it for next than nothing.
So should i get that and use it for a couple years and save up for a better lift (my price range now is 400-500) or just go with what i can afford now. I had even thought about buying new leaf springs if i could find some decent priced ones.

Thanks!

That is actually the exact lift I planned on getting. I have looked into those a lot and seem to have good reviews for a decent price.
They aren't sagging too bad on the used one though. Maybe an inch or 2, it isn't really noticeable.

I would use his components like the control arms, coil springs, endlinks, trackbar, etc. and just buy new leaf packs from Rubicon Express.

Rustys Off Road has a full leaf/coil lift in your price and the American made springs/leafs are excellent quality had mine 2 yrs. zero sag with heavy loading. Not all companies can say this and it shows quickly. These are where most of the cost are in a entry lift anyway and you get a choice of front coils depending if you have a Winch with HD Bumper (180#) or not no extra charge.

At 3" of lift stock LCA work fine mine did but I would buy an Adj. Track Bar and Transfer Case drop kit. The shocks that come with all these entry level kits are just that so/so, but I used mine for almost a year before changing them.

Wheels you will need the proper ones for the clearance I'm running a 33x12:50x15 tire and the wheel is a 15x8 with a 3 3/4" BS up to 4" is fine but get at least an 8" wheel to use.
