Ok, if you would have asked me a month ago what what kit to.order for my xj I would have told you the 6.5in long ARM kit from RC....

Now I'm contemplating.. is the long ARM kit worth the extra 7 bills....?

Yeah it'll probably be the more permanent height. What does the long arm arm do that the short doesn't...

The long arm will let you handle better and also the ride is smoother than a regular lift. Better flexing...I wish I had the LA in my 94...Tj

Guess its better to do it right the first time.. I know 1500 is pretty cheap for a 6.5in but damn that's gonna hurt lol.

DEFINITELY go for the long arm. My Rusty's 8" long arm is better on road than the 3" that was on the XJ previously was. Also will do MUCH better offroad for you
