U bolts for a budget lift
I got a 3" budget lift as a gift. I need to get longer U bolts, but Im not sure on the length needed. I have searched, (probably not enough) and have not come up what I need for measurements. This is a temp lift and plan on doing a LA 6.5 after I graduate from college.
Any info would be great! Thanks in advance.

Its just a 3" budget from Rocky Road outfitters. I can get U bolts cheeper than theirs due to friends in the parts business.

first you gotta figure out what rear axle you got then ad the extra length you need to add the block pullone off and measure it

I would just get a cheap block kit from autozone etc and use the u bolts from that. I have found this cheaper than buying the u bolts individually. Plus u can use the lift blocks as wheel chalks.

These will be long enough to handle 1.5" blocks. Take a look at how much is left over after allowing for the two extra leaves in my bastard pack:

Yes, I have a Chry 8.25" and those bolts are 1/2" thick and made for 3" diameter axle tube. I looked everywhere and you're not going to beat that price unless you have some 50% off type of hookups.
