I really like the Rustys ones because of the flare design (its boxed and really matches the XJ body lines well), and the fitment is dead on from the reviews I have seen.

Hooligan's front flares come all the way down to the rocker as a single piece, if that's a factor. I had to trim just a tiny bit off to clear my rock rails. I don't really like the look of Rusty's, but I do like how they make a rear fender with both the flare and the rub rail.

They're pretty damn strong. They include a metal strip that sits on the inside of the fender for the main bolts to go through (so they aren't just mounted through the sheet metal) and a small L-bracket for extra support to resist inward pressure. Not sure what the other two options have as far as mounting hardware. I got mine while they were having a 10% holiday discount (I think it was valentine's day of all things) which basically came out to free shipping.

I haven't tested mine with this much weight, but it's nice to know they will hold up...

I like the Rusty's the most. Had a buddy buy the Hooligans which were nice but fitment wasn't the greatest. And like you said, Hooligan's shipping prices are outrageous. I have no idea where they're getting quotes from but it's preventing me from buying their boatside kit which I really want to add to my rig. Shipping was like $250 bucks. It cost me $60 alone just to ship their c-channel rocker kit.

My vote goes to Hooligan, my fronts are on. Just ordered the rears this month, they are on there way now. Takes about 2-3 weeks for Josh to make them. Expensive, but robust and stout. For sure.

Do they come as a whole fender set, or is it just the black panel with the rail? I've got to replace my front fenders and if that was a complete set I'd consider getting them.
