Default Trying to find out how much lift I actually have.

So here is my problem:

I bought a 01 XJ about two months ago and when I bought it was told it has a BDS 4.5" lift on it but I ordered disconnects for a 4.5" lift and they are too long but I can make them work but also ordered control arm drop brackets and want to make sure I am at least 4.5" like the drop brackets recommend . Is there any way to measure and see what my lift really is? Also my Jeeps fenders are trimmed so I cant measure from center hub to lower fender.

Anyone running 31's and a 3-4.5" lift want to measure their rig from the center of the hub to the top of the hood and tell me what size lift your running?

I would really appreciate the help.

Best method is to measure from the top of the axle tube to the frame rail above.
vertical distance in front on a stock XJ is 6 3/4".
In back 6".

You front on a 4.5" lift should measure out 11 1/4". rear should be 10 1/2".

The much less accurate way is to measure from center of hub to fender flare.
front stock is 17" IIRC.

Thanks guys the frame to axle worked great ended up being about 11.75" front 10" rear but had a lot in the cargo area today. Will measure the rear again after I pull the stuff out and may add a longer shackle if it sits lower in the rear.

Thanks again

Now to locate some 4.10s for the 30 and get the 8.8 ready for install
