I`ve been running the ff dynamics triple threat fans for a year now. to tell you the truth my stock fan kept my temp in check. since insalling the 3 fans my temp has increased. I`ve done everything to lower my temp. radiator flushings, changing my thermostat, I even added temp lowering additives. The only time my temp runs cool is at highway speeds. here in new york I deal with alot of stop and go traffic and my temp has been getting dangerously high to the point my check gages light comes on and my temp is about to overheat. I have set my fans to kick on before 210. In the winter my engine runs super cool. But in the summer I`m scared to drive any long distance. Mind you I take excellent care of my Xj she`s my baby, my pride and joy. what can I do to get my temp back down below 210 again the way it used to be. My mechanic tells me to go back to stock. Can anyone or does anyone have any ideas of what I can do. PLEASE!!!!

My water pump and belt are fine. my engine compression is great. I`ve been running mobil 1 since 97 when I bought her. I swear by mobil 1 never had an engine problem. just your average owner maintenance problems like alternator, radiator, waterpump. hoses, brakes, battery, fuel pump ect.

I have the extreme kit from ff dynamics. I love it! It keeps the temp around 200°. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Is go with this one. Shroud is included. And its cheaper I believe. Also the fans are 1.5 inches bigger. But same motor. Read this all in another thread but I think it was another forum. That's my 2 cents.

The problem is that the mounts are designed poorly: the sliding brackets are thought to be adapted to different radiators and the absence of shrouds leave some space between the outer frame and the radiator. What happens is that air is going to be sucked in from the side and not through the radiator. The motors turn very slow, you can count to 5 and they are still revving up. They were always on.

I've picked a pair of JY Audi A6 fans and they come with high efficiency balanced blades, one piece with the shroud that i cutted to fit on the radiator. The motors are double as big as the chinese ones thus being the same depth. The wires are 7 gauge per motor, i had to do a double circuit with two relays but now when they come on temperature sinks from 200 to 170 in less than 10 seconds.
What year A6? Those look like some beefy fans. Do you have both coming on at the same time or one at a time? I'm very curious on how yours work. Is like to pick up those fans Israeli any pick and pulls have them.

was wondering if anyone had this, and if so, any pics or reviews on it? Seems a bit expensive but looks like a nice setup.

With your set up, you should do just fine doing 2 stock AC fans. I run 4.5 inches with 32's on stock gears, had multiple over 100 degree days and never once had a problem. I also have a stock water pump and radiator as well.

jeepin_xj,

I'm thinking about putting the Extreme kit with radiator on my '94. (The stock radiator is busted up--don't ask.) I do a fair amount of towing, so I need to get this right. Is that 200 degrees off-road? What do you have the thermostat set to?

NEVER MIND: Just found your review thread. I'll post further questions there.

I put the fan kit with the aluminum shrouds in. The fans move air pretty well and I've never had issues overheating. They're stamped with a "Made in USA" and "Inspected By" on the outsides of the motors and I've never doubted their quality. I rebuilt the wiring harness to allow for more amperage because my secondary transmission cooling fans are on the same circuit.

When they are on I could definitely feel it pulling air! I used the harness that came pre wired for it.
