Default tranny mount change and RC Xmember?

whats up all. i have a dumb question. 2001 jeep xj 8"lift (for now). im in need of changing the trans mount but i have the Rough Country long arm with the one peice cross member.i have learned to hate dropping my long arms because the passenger side one is a real bi*ch to get back on and i always need a helper to get it back togeather(im solo to day). My question is has anyone been able to change there tranny mount without dropping crossmember? thank you all

I dont know of a way to do that. How would you remove the old mount or slide the new one in without dropping the x member down far enough to?

i will just try and see. i will disconnect tranny from xmember and see if i can jack it up some without damaging or binding anything, and try to squeeze a wrench in to break the mount from the tranny, if that all fails i will just drop the xmember at that point. and deal with the control arms! dos anyone elses control arms give them this much trouble. to get the passenger side reconnected at the xmember i have to have someone push and pull on the tire while i pry down on it to get the bolt in, sounds easy but its a real b&*^h. will disconnecting the track bar help? i have tryed it both ways axle hanging and on the ground. thanks

Are your arms adjusted right? Maybe try putting the front axle on jackstands, might help keep it from moving maybe.

I know it will be damn near impossible to change the mount without dropping the x member. You might get the old one out, but squeezing the new, stiff one in there will be tough.

ya caster and angles are all good, i just thought maybe it should be easier thank it is. the drivers side i can drop just fine. thats why maybe i thought it was the track bar since it is connected on the passenger side axle. thanks for all your help! i just thought it was do to them being the dumb rough country radius long arms? thanks
