Default Track bar bracket..

I recently put a 3" rough country lift on my XJ, I also added an RC adj, track bar. When I first installed the lift the coil spring was hitting the track bar bracket so bad.. so i then centered the axle, its wasn't much better. Now I am driving around with my track bar on a stock like setting to where my drive side wheel is sitting out of my fender a little more then my passenger wheel...just so the spring doesn't hit the track bar bracket.

I want to go get an alignment but if they center my axle I'll be rubbing that spot again. What I'd really like is to just replace the bracket with one that sits flush inside the wheel well.

I came across this http://www.rustysoffroad.com/jeep-su...unt-xj-zj.html

but im not sure the end would screw into my RC track bar... help me out here peeps

Pictures of the coil? Sounds like your upper arms are too long or lowers are too short cause there to not be enough caster and the coil plate is tilting forward causing the coil spring to bow forward and hit the bracket.

This^^.... Honestly, you should have just gotten the iro track bar. Rc track bars are garbage. I've personally seen two of them bend on jeeps with 31's. Enough bashing RC lol what are your lowers set at?

I got the RC track bar used locally for cheap. it was in good shape. Im on stock lower control arms and stock uppers. wouldn't longer LCA's push the axle forward, making the problem worse?

IRO trac bars rock but also the IRO LCA make a difference. I have a 3" lift with trac Bar and LCA and I drive and handle better than stock

Thats a stock track bar bracket. Really strange that you are having rubbing issues. Take it to get it aligned and see what they say. That coil could be bowed out like I suspected earlier but cant tell with the picture angle. Best way is to put the front axle on level jack stands and take off the front tires. Then see how your coils look strait on from the side.

I think RC coil springs have a larger diameter than the OEM and other after market springs. I had the same issue.

It is seated properly in the bottom I know that for sure. I'll have to take a look at the top when I get home later
