Looking to get a new track bar for my xj. I currently have the axle side drop bracket but want to get rid of it cause I am ruining track bars. On The frame side I am getting a bad creaking/thumping sound. Look into a new adjustable track bar and curious what people recommend. I want to get a double shear, but can only find the rugged ridge one and iron rock off road. Any help and advice would be great!

You will get a bunch of mixed reviews likely. Ive had IROs for a little over a year and like it but I dont wheel hard. Its made well. If you go this route the adjustable side goes up top frame side. Installed mine upside down and drove that way for months no big deal but can limit flex. Found a number of theads where others did the same and I called IRO to confirm.

Gluck.

I run the Rugged Ridge double shear track bar. It works pretty good, can't complain. only issue I've had so far (3+ years now) is the axle side sleeve in the bushing is totally shot. I contacted them and they gave me the part numbers to replace it. only costs a couple dollars.

very happy with it. Some of my friends went with the TRE (ball joint) on the frame side and they only last a couple months.......

I've had my IRO bar for over a year and it's given me no issues so far. I like it, very well built.

Another vote for the IRO double shear adjustable track bar with bracket. It is stout!

Yup, have had mine for 2 years/25k miles. No problems, still nice and tight.
