Exclamation Tire Size help!

I know theres a sticky but I kinda need an answer today. My 2001 cherokee isn't lifted and currently, on the stock cherokee rims, I'm running a tire size of 225. The door says 215 but that'd be really small. If I wanted to go with 235's (which was suggested to me), would there be anything I need to do such as trimming due to rubbing? Thanks a lot guys!

With what I've seen here, no trimming is needed. I'm in the same position and also getting 235s.

With the rub, are the rubbing on the wheel well or the body? I don't want to put any stress on my body if I can avoid it...

I had 235/75/15 and they NEVER rubbed on my jeep...

I would go 31s, or 32s and trim the fenders

rubbing with 235s happens on inner fender well, and depending on what wheels you have(backspacing), may not be a problem. but eaven at it's worst, it's minor and only @ full crank. i ran 245's on my last (stock) xj with only minor rubbing on the inners.

Running 255/75/15 on my DD, rubbing at full lock on control arm, so you just don't full lock. (Reason wasn't for ascetics, came on the truck at purchase and keeping with them because I like the load range)

30"s. A 31" and definitely a 32" will rub upon turning.

at full lock they rub on the control arm a little bit none on the body tho. I ran those tires for almost 2 years and no noticable extra wear and when the do rub ur usually at a pretty slow speed
