Tie Rod Upgrade
I'm looking to upgrade my tie rod. I run 33x12.5s, but am pretty light on the skinny pedal. I want the best bang for the buck.
I like the price of Rustys, but his reviews are mixed. How about the ZJ upgrade, or another company? What are your opinions? I'm new to steering upgrades, thanks in advance!

3" of lift? Run a ZJ Tie rod and be done if you don't have plans for going higher. 1 ton steering is way overkill for 33s IMO.

What he said. The kits are that really that expensive and are pretty easy to install if you are doing under the knuckle like you need. That will be my next upgrade but I have been putting it off because I need an over the knuckle setup and there is a little more fab that needs to be done that I can't do. I am only running 33's also but why not get the toughest you can.

I'm definitely not lifting this jeep any higher or planning on bigger than 33s. The zj upgrade is probably what I'm gonna do. I really just want something better than the OEM tie rod. Just grabbing it while working under the XJ it feels flimsy.

I have the zj upgrade until I can afford some one ton steering. Best bang for the buck. Huge difference, I would run it on a smaller lift without question.

Serious Offroad 1 ton imo. I've got the UTK kit to go on my XJ, I'm not even going to spend the time to swap in a ZJ tie rod. And I'm only on 33's.

I just bought a RE chromoly tie rod, I'm already ditching it. Ordered a 1 ton kit from serious. I would recommend you consider his kits, if not I have a brand new RE chromoly I'll give you a hell of a deal on lol.
