Default For those that have 3 links, armor question.

I've been on the fence awhile now about picking up a 3 link system to replace my drops and I've posted a few times about it. I'm thinking even more so that I've noticed my frame rail's taken a beating with the supports behind the drops. I saw this as I'm welding ...attempting to weld in HD's stiffeners.

I'm really looking at b.lee's setup. Guys whether it's b.lee or clayton's or anyone else's aside from TnT's (belly skid), what are you running for skids?

I have HD stiffeners, Rock krawler 3 link set up and I don't have a skid (I would like to). I made my own crossmember from 2x6 box tubing and it took pretty good beating. Nothing ever touched my engine/trans/tcase though. (4.5 lift). It depend on the terrain you wheel on too.

I like a variety of terrains. There are however a nice hilly rock gardens where I wheel.

I am running the B.Lee's 3 link with 6 inches of lift and 33" muds. I too have welded HD stiffeners in place. I salvaged the stock T/C skid plate and modified it to bolt to the B.Lee's crossmember and the box rail. There is no clearance gain by using the B.Lee's crossmember over the stock crossmember. I believe the Rock krawler 3 link tucks up a little higher.

nah. RK's 3 link suck. It mount on the frame rails. I would prefer B.Lee over RK
