Tail Light Guards?
Where can I get some? From my searches online, I think it'll have to be a weld-fab place. But I can't seem to find one that will make them! Any ideas? Thanks

Got a set off of ebay. Can't say I'm overly impressed with them. (although they look kinda cool)
I'll probably eventually go to steel tail light boxes, but I have bigger fish to fry at the moment.

My XJ is a 95 so the point is kind of moot for you: They wouldn't fit yours.
If you're going to do any serious wheeling in tree or rock-laden areas I would suggest the steel tail-light boxes. Especially on the newer bodied XJs. I think they look sharp with an oval LED brake light mounted vertically.
The tail light guards usually don't do much to protect the tail light from much more than a light branch and anything heavier usually causes the guards to bend a (more costly) quarter panel.

because that's certainly the newer 97-01 body style. cant be a 95...
I think that toothpick of a rear axle actually makes that a 97-99 to be specific
