Default Sye and driveshaft

Got my Adams driveshaft and sye in the mail today, solid quality. It was shipped so fast the paint wasn’t even dry yet! Can’t wait to put this in before wheelin this weekend! Most likely going to order the front driveshaft next week.

yea definitely good people! Their website had double charged me I contacted them the refunded me both charges and only charged me 400$ instead of 508$. Great customer service would recommend to anyone in need! Plus the tshirt bonus is pretty cool too!

Just curious. Why replace the factory front drive shaft? Don’t get me wrong. I’m a fan of overkill. Wondering if you had an issue with it.

honestly there’s not to much reason except I’d rather just have the nice matching front. And keep the stock as a spare in case it gets hairy. I just really appreciate the customer service from Adams, and want to give them some more of my business. I’m not rich by no means necessary, but at 300$ for a heavy duty front driveshaft, and having a backup. Just sounds like a good idea.
not to mention the nearest junkyard is about 3 hours away from me.

Gotcha. I use one of their rear shafts to. I’m happy with it. It does what it’s supposed to do and it was affordable.

I went with adams cause mine was a 2wd conversion and didn't want a used shaft. They had good reviews, good price and somewhat local to me. Got my sye and rear shaft at the same time.

Goin thru my front and I’m learnin a lot. It’s $100 just for the parts and that’s if your shaft is in good condition. You can easily blow thru Or get close to the cost of a new heavier duty shaft

I’m an idiot don’t have much time to work on the Jeep with work lately. Well I installed my sye and Adams driveshaft. Being tired from working I forgot to remove the transfer case drop. I won’t have time to work on the Jeep for at least 2 weeks. Will this be an issue considering I just did the work without removing the transfer case. I will be able to take it out soon. No vibes. I looked under to take a picture of my work, and went doh! Lol

Don’t forget to set your pinion angle when you get that t-case drop removed. Vibes or no vibes.

Can I reuse the bolts that came with the transfer case drop, or will I need new bolts. I can’t find the original ones for the cross member.

The transfer case drop bolts will most likely be too long. Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get them. Most people say they are M10x1.5x20mm or so but I've seen a few references to 3/8x16. Wouldn't surprise me if some Jeeps came metric and some came standard.

I'd like to spend the $$ on one, but mine is 80% DD with no hard core wheelin, so I think I'll be ok with putting a front shaft in the back after I get my LCAs, brake lines, and QD's to install the whole lift soon. I'll end up with an SYE, but I hope I can go a little while without horrible vibes by just doing a T-case drop and some shims. Hopefully it'll work out...

It just sucks because I have 2 cars I'm spending money on right now. The XJ's lift and the SS needs nearly $1000 in tires......
