Swaybar or not to swaybar

You guys have to realize it's not fun to have no front swaybar when you really need it. It's scary. If you haven't had to swerve at any moderate-high speed to avoid something then you don't yet understand the severity of the problem (which only gets worse with more lift). I'd highly suggest hooking that front swaybar up. Under normal driving situations you don't notice, but when you need it, you sure as hell will wish it was there.

I have been w/out SB for a couple years with all the lift i got and yes the body rolls but its not a lowered honda. I still run the hiway and i dont worry about flipping cuz of no SB. I worry more that if a tire blows whats gonna happen and where do i go to keep from flippin not oh crap i have no SB. I have seen more ppl get into trouble by not knowing how to drive after a locker install and turning corners not becuse they have no SB.

To the OP. Disconnect your front swaybar and run it that way for awhile. If you like it remove it. If not search 7 $ disconnects. I made my own disconnects a little differently than the 7 bucks ones. Left them disco'ed on the road once and ended up rolling 317 times and removed the swaybar completely after that. I have not had a front or rear for years now but you need to do what works for YOU, not a bunch of yahoos like myself.

and while were on the topic of swaybars...can i just cut the links off and the ends of the swaybar off and leave the middle part on? i have my front receiver on and it utilizes those bolts that hold the sway bar on...it shouldnt make any difference right, ive driven w/o it connected several times and i dont mind it

Yep 317 was sarcastic lol. earlier a guy said something about rolling 117 times then another about rolling 217 times, not to be outdone I had to go for 317. And yes what you want to do will work but can't you just bolt the receiver back on with shorter bolts?

I agree it isnt as safe to drive without a swaybar. but neither is driving a lifted highcenter of gravity jeep. neither is climbing a 70 degree rock infested hill. neither is doing doughnuts in a field that may have a ditch you didnt notice...
point being. in an accident or sudden defensive turning situation that sway bar may save you. or it may not and you flip 417 times anyways.
in those situations you will be glad to have one.
i do not run sway bars cause im a cheap *** and im too lazy to make em after buying extended links... this is what i do and im ok with that because i accept the risk. if you do not want to DONT!!!!!! if you dont GAF then throw that **** away and be carefull

lmao, you have to love the back and forth that always happens in the "Sway Bar" threads..
That's it man, as many others have stated, you will be fine without any SB's long as you are comfortable and responsible. Just to answer your question, I, myself have been without either one forever now and I am up 6.5" three link LA's...drives highway and curvy mtn roads bout everyday... you won't instantly wreck. But, to each his own and do what you are comfortable with...
