Unhappy Sway Bar Link Problem!!!

I just got finished with my 3" lift on the front and ran into this little problem.

The bolt up top is hitting the body.....

I'm guessing that either it isn't the right sway bar link or I rigged it up wrong, I used home depot bolts for the top...

Would it fall down lower and rub if I got a shorter bolt up top or is it just because the link is straight and doesn't have the curve like the stock links....

should I just cut out an inch or two and weld them back up?

the links are too long. also get a shorter bolt for the top. the swaybar eyelet should be parallel to the ground.

So i just took out all those bushings and just threw a smaller bolt inside and sitting at ground height it's got about an inch of clearance, but when i hit bumps it clunks and the bolt hits the body! I'm just gonna cut an inch out and weld it back and hope for the best!

Sorry the pic is dark.

I would get the correct one, having one brake mid turn would not be fun and could be dangerous... I think it would be more dangerous the having no sway bar as it could be unpredictable.

did you buy a kit? they should send you the correct ones free of charge...
