Hi! I'm new here, I've owned a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4 door (Black) for the last 18 years. Unfortunately, I was rear ended recently and insurance called it a total loss. I bought my Jeep back as a salvage vehicle which I intend to rebuild and continue using.
I'm on a tight budget, and need to replace the rear bumper as well as add some sort of armor to the back driver's side corner (and I will match it on the other side even though that side is ok). Most of the armor I've found, does not work with the stock bumper, so I'm needing to get creative. I was looking at Rough Country, but I'm so clueless about brands for this kind of stuff. I do not have the ability to weld, and these parts are more for looks than anything else. I'm just trying to cover up as much of the damage as possible since it is all cosmetic. (and yes I will make sure everything is corrected underneath the armor as well to prevent rust, etc)
Anybody have any suggestions? My Jeep already has a hitch, and I don't need anything fancy on the bumper like lights/etc. I'm overwhelmed but would like to buy something during Black Friday sales.
