stupid wheel and tire questions
ok so i lifted my cherokee, but now its time for tires
i got the rims, i got just the basic black summit d windows, theyre not the best but they will work and they were 46$ a piece!
but heres what i need help with, i still commute to and from school twice a week and do tons of driving in between.
so i really am in need of a good set of tires and what size i should go with. ruby (my cherokee) is sitting on a 3"BL and 4" AAL's so really i need to know what will fit and what peoples opinions are on tires. i still wanna be able to do some wheeling. right now i dont do a lot . but my current general grabbers are shot. o and mines on 225/75 R15, with GC wheels.
so i guess here are the questions i need awnsered:
1. what kind of tires should i look for?
2.where should i look ?
3.what will fit ?
any help is apprecicated.

1. what kind of tires should i look for?
All terrains. I'm happy with my Firestone destinations.
2.where should i look?
Craigslist or classified section here for used, tire shops for new.
3.what will fit ?
31x1050x15 will fit no problem with a 3-4" lift without the need to trim.

Look for a good a/t. I run procomp a/ts and love them. They clean out well in the mud do amazing on the street and are well mannered in sand. I have no experience with them on the rocks but the guys Iv talked to that have run them on the rocks say they are better then the bfg a/t kos. I got mine from Quadratec for 134 a tire thanks to price match. I run 30s on my xj with a 3in budget lift and 3in aal in the rear. I have no issues with rubbing. If you decide to go with these let my know and Ill send you the site that I found them for 134 and Quadratec will match the price plus mention the forum and youll get free shipping but you will have to pay 60 for oversized charge. Hope that helps

thanks guys,
i started reading the sticky and my ADD kicked in and i couldnt handle it haha.
but i dont think 134 a piece isnt that bad. i was looking at BFG A/Ts from walmart, i think they were actually more.
but im still on the fence if i wanna do 30s or 31s. i think it may look stupid with 30s though.

They also won't require trimming to flex. As far as type of tire, if your looking at bf a/ts, consider some goodyear duratracs; a cross between an a/t and m/t, very aggressive looking, performs great, cheaper that bf a/ts. That's what I have and you can see in the pics^^^.

If I where you I would go for 31s or 33s (33s with a lil trimming and folding)
Go for used tires (Craigslist, swap meets, etc) unless you feel like paying $$$$ for new rubber.
And with 3" in front and 4" in back you can fit 35s If you really want but then I would suggest a re gear.

I'd go with at least 31s. Anything smaller wouldn't look right IMO. 31s won't require regearing if you got an auto. Here's mine: sits at about 5" of lift and 31s
