Stupid Noob questions (then I'll be done with that)
Hey guys,
I recently picked up a 2000 XJ that has a bit of lift. I was wondering what components I have, what is worth replacing/upgrading, and how much lift this actually is over stock?
Some pics of the Jeep and then the suspension. I'm pretty new to these, so be gentle It was super clean so I couldn't pass it up! Looking for another to build, or maybe a CJ.
Thanks ya'l

You can measure from the top of the axle tube to the bottom of the uni frame rail. You can find the stock measurements online and the difference is the amount of lift.

Looks to me like the Rubicon Express Super Flex kit with RE track bar. I have the 3.5" kit and your seems to sit a little higher than mine did so I would assume its the 4.5" kit, but its hard to tell. I can't see the number on the coils spring, but if you can read that it will tell you what size coil it is. In my opinion RE makes one of the best all around kits out there so I wouldn't replace anything until it goes bad. Do you plan on running bigger tires?
My god is this picture old. Back when she was pretty haha.

No, this will be my daily driver. I plan to build a much bigger, more complete version I need to sell my TJ first...
Thanks for the replies. I will take a look at the coils!

dont think its a full RE lift cause it infact does have blocks out back, which leads me to believe that its not even a AAL lift but just stock leaves on blocks (which isnt really a good thing, full leaves are better). for the front, does look like RE grey powdercoat. a lil tip of advice, whatever you do to the xj, or upgrade. upgrade it how you want it the first time and make sure you do your research and do it right, or your gonna be pullin out your wallet alot more than needed to achieve what you want..

Do you think it would be wise to just do the back, or buy a whole new lift kit? Really, I don't plan to do a whole lot to this one, but I will for it to be done correctly.
Thanks again

Better yet IMO. Get rid of the blocks and get a longer adjustable shackle. Save about $300 and a longer shackle will improve ride and flex and even out your sagging rear.
Also Your Jeep has swaybar disconects, missing bumpstop, adjustable trackbar that isnt the best since its not a double shear conversion. But none of that matters much since you said you will not be wheeling much anyways. If you take it wheeling and disconect the swaybar you might want to address the bumpstop issue depending on your wheeling. Cant see if your brakelines have been extended and I also spot a 1in tcase drop. Again for daily driving you should be set after eliminating the blocks.
