two nut method:

take the two nuts off from the other sides then screw the first one on and make it tight then take the second one put it under it and make it tight then take a open wrench and unscrew the top one or first one you put on.

Soaked in PB Blaster for days and double nut method. Still broke the weld nuts off the frame. That was still easier to deal with than the bolts that twisted off in the weld nuts.

My TC drop didn't go smooth.

I got a stud extractor from O'Reilly's that looks a bit like a drill chuck and works in a similar way. I was able to grab just enough of the studs to get them out and it is rated to work with a 3/8 impact (which is what i used) and had no trouble with it. Good penetrating oil soaking before hand still makes a good difference too.

I welded the nut to the studs. then drilled some tiny holes so i could get a PB Blaster straw in to the threads inside the frame rails. soaked once a day for a few days worked them back and forth then repeated a few times.

they would have snapped off for sure if I would have just started cranking on them

I find that heating the stud/bolt and quenching with water is more effective at releasing the rust bonds of weld nuts than penetrating oil, but I use both.
