Any reason plating the stock gas tank skid on these cherokees is a bad idea? picked up a stock one and figured i ask before i just do it the steal is free and so is the wire so any reason to not plate it? its a 99

 

the title is a little misleading. I thought you wanted to weld right to your gas tank! which is an obvious nono.

But people beef up the stock skids all the time. I have even seen people double them up.

Nothing wrong with it.

 

ok yea haha guess bad title i didnt think any one was that dumb but then again their was that kid with the mustang who ran water throught his motor cuz oil was coming out to slow.....
