Ive got a 7 inch flip out screen/main head unit, replaced all factory speakers, running two amps, and a 12 inch sub....all DB drive...one amp for the mids and highs, and one for the sub. The only downside i can say about the flip out screen is that when its in the out position, the screen covers up the middle two air vents, well atleast in my Jeep (98 XJ) , but other than that, dam system kicks like a mule

small clean system under $1000 on my side compared to my Maxima set up

Kenwood 494 deck
(2) sets of massive audio 6.5 comps (i got a stupid deal so I took two) so OVERKILL
Genesis profile 5 channel amp (single amp setup FTW)
Hellraiser enclosure w/JL10w3v3-2 (2ohms FTW)

subs and amps are SO efficient now I cant believe guys still consider anything , more then two 10's. I have two 8w7's the drop so low and hard when guys ask what I have I say "alil sumthang" and they lol and say yea right. Pop the trunk and they see the bulldogs and really LOL

between JL, DD, SA 8's & 10's, in the right box and power you how much more do you really want. I wanted to put a 8W7 in Hellraisers enclosure but its just not enough air space and would be a waste of $$

ive got a kenwood head unit, two polk audio components in the rear with the tweeters mounted in the headliner, two kicker 5 and a quarters in the front doors and two cheap walmart 6x9s behind the back seat hooked up to the amp that used to power my sub, i had a 10inch polk audio sub but i got sick of annoying bass so i got rid of it, now my system (that probably costs under 300 bucks total) is louder and clearer then anything ive ever heard haha

Alpine head unit and amp. I-Pod cable routed to e-brake console, so the I-Pod stays out of sight.

Polk 5 1/4" & separate tweeter components in soundbar w/crossovers.

Polk 6 1/2" & separate tweeter components w/crossovers in Q-forms up front. Q-forms are molded kick panels made to mount speakers into.

Polk 6 1/2" two ways w/built-in crossovers mounted in stock door location.

Alpine amp powers all four tweeters & 5 1/4" & 6 1/2" separates and is mounted under the passenger's side seat. The head unit powers the 6 1/2" two ways mounted in the doors.

I added an 8" Blaupunkt self powered sub under the diver's seat.

Everything is very discreet and mounted in stock locations except for the Q-forms. Also this weekend, I am going to install a 10" Polk sub and a 300 watt rms Alpine amplifier. I bought a custom box from subthump to keep it discreet and out of the way:

Aside from the upcoming sub, here's a few pics of my setup.

You my friend have a TON of mids & hi's your ears have got to be bleeding

my question is why not just go with a higher end 2way or 3way system up front, you already got the pods to have the perfect 3way system set up? Something along the lines of CDT, Dyna, focal or rainbow!

I bought a used set of Rainbow Germ's for like $230 (retail $600) in my Maxima, talk about a SICK sound, and feeding them 110 rms each, talk about loud and clear, midbass is crazy!

Im not being a child here and saying i've seen better than all your setups, but there is a local audio place here and they have a rockford setup of 4 T2's, 3 rockford amps(unsure what wattage), and a ton of rockford highs and mids, counted about 20-24 speakers in all, and i must say the loudest yet cleanest system i've ever heard, it make's everyting around it shake you cant even hold your hand still sitting it let alone breath right, but yet can hear every word in the song. If you want something clean sounding and hard hitting rockford really impressed me. but this setup has over $1000 in just dynomat and over 2" thick speaker box and the subs alone are worth more than most the jeeps on here(including mine) but just saying in my opinion and experiance they are bad ***

I personally have ran a TON of different setups, even some major mixed and matched ones. But my personal best sounding setup was a kenwood deck, pioneer 6x9's a rockford 800w amp and a 12" kicker cvr in a custom built box that to say the least was HUGE!!!took up my whole back seat for just one sub, but it sounded awesome. No competition setup but sure disturbed some businesses and got me pulled over twice

I got a JVC head unit with HD radio, Quantum audio 6.5 components(doors) and 5.25 2 ways (rear soundbar), Jensen 5 channel 650 watt amp for everything, and currently a powerbass xtreme 12 in a JL power wedge box. Sounds great for me, but I feel like its a little too much bass. I'm switching to Tang Band shallow mount 10 soon. Google their 6.5" woofers, 13mm of travel in the woofer. I got a bud with 4 of em and I though he had 15's.

Exactly what I would like to do. Not sure about a under seat sub but it would be my best option based on the fact that I really treasure trunk space.Even my spare tire is out because I truly do use that space for just about anything and everything.

So I have a two questions.

1) If you can use the head unit to power your two front door panel speakers, does it put out the full wattage to those speakers?
2) Where did you get the kick panel enclosures?
3) How did you fit 6.5'' speakers in the doors? I assume with some modifications.

Thanks, and I'm happy to see someone with a seven speaker setup like I'm going for. Maybe dynamat the pi$$ out of the vehicle. Good music, with good quality sound, makes for great road trips.

So I've got two questions, 1) How long of RCA cable will I need to reach from the dash to just behind the rear seats? (My jeeps not here right now and need to order right now) and 2) Where are you guys putting your positive amp wire through the firewall? Thanks! Ben and Kayla
