I think the stock should fit. I dont see y not. Im on a 4 inch lift with a stock steering column. The only way i see it not fitting is if you have a body lift instead of a suspension lift. Icould be wrong tho. Im shure someone else will jump in and give you allthe info u r looking for.
The geometry won't change in column. It all runs to the steering box that remains in exact same place. Only thing that would change would be a drop pitman arm, but that only comes into play at like 6.5+ inches. Also, our XJ's are unibody's. You can't lift the body off the frame, cause there isn't a frame.

thats more than a 6.5" lift bud.
Did you buy the jeep like that? Noticed you have been looking to upgrade a few things on it in the past week or so.
Maybe post some more photos so we can help ya out with finding out what you are running?

Measure from top of axle tube to button of frame rail. Stock is 6.75" front, 6" rear. Anything more is lift. Go measure and take a couple more pics- front end, rear drive shaft and dif if ya feel like it..
holy crap. that thing is a deathtrap. the lower control arms are TINY, uses uppers mounted in the stock location and i see the spring mounts have been extended several inches. I'm sure there is some other bad news going on as well.
It is clearly more than 6.5" of lift. I have been around xjs for quite some time.
