Like the title says, I chopped my jeep and I am wondering what to do with my exhaust. After I chopped it, I drove home from my shop and (as expected) the fumes were terrible. Yesterday, I bought a 90 and a tailpipe extension which brought my exhuast out the passenger side, behind the leaf spring. I still get fumes in the cab, but only when down shifting/slowing down. Has anyone chopped there daily driver and had/solved this problem. I have kids and I don't want any fumes if I can help it.
This is still an option.

pics of chop and exhaust? unless you exhaust above roof level near the back, I can see low speed/stopped to be bad. if it doesnt go up high enough, I can see the fumes circulating especially into the back seat like wind in a convertible

Im starting to think that theirs no real way to eliminate the vortex the draws in the fumes, so rather then completely chopping it I might goo for almost a hummer look and fab a new trunk hatch the starts whear the chopped top would normally start and have the angled trunk look... but im still just trying to figure out if I want evan do the chopped look any opinions?
Well I posted the picks because with the rear window open I didn't get any fumes in the cab. Pretty sure that is what you were trying to get away from so I thought I would show you how I did.

I'm making a soft top to go over where I chopped so a stack isn't an option for me. I've turned the exhaust out the side behind the leaf spring and the fumes are only noticeable when I'm slowing down. I think that when I turn my lift gate into a tailgate and install it, there will be less draft coming up from underneath. What do you all think?

Here's picture of what I'm working on. This was taken after about 7 hours worth of work. I've got about another 3 into it now. I moved the d pillar up and half ways into the c pillar.
