springs
I'm, planning to give my XJ a 3" lift soon anyway at work tonight I was talking to one of our truck, mechanics as he's into japanese 4x4's.
Anyway he suggested talking to the guy,who repairs our truck springs, when he comes in with some springs.
So the spring guys just left and I asked him if he could help and he suggested re tempering and re arching them slightly more than stock, on my original leaf springs and adding another 2 helper leafs as thats how he's just done set for a GMC pick up
and he reckons, he can get coil springs made to the same specs as standard rates but as tall as I need to go.
does this sound like a good idea or should I stick, with my original plan of the Rough Country lift kit.

Re-Arched springs will not flex well, an they will sag if you wheel . There is a reason people with Re-arched springs are always getting them re-arched . Leafs are not that much unless you plan on getting alcan or deavers . Remember when it comes to suspension you get what you pay for in return !
