springover
i have a 79 cherokee with a dana 44 front axyl. i want to do a springover in the front for a little extra lift and beter ground clearance. will i have to do anything to the steering other than adding a drop pitman arm?

Its a bit more involved than that. Keep in mind a spring over will get you about 6 inches of lift. Try www.ifsja.org. im a member over there and you will get a lot more opinions from people who have done the exact same thing you are looking to do.

You will def have to address the steering. There is a lot more work envolved in a SOA than what most realize, if you do it right. I've done them on CJs and Scouts and most times the cost is almost the same as a lift kit for a spring under. Also most spings that are made for spring under don't like spring over and often bend.
