hey guys,

after doing some reading i am feeling more confident in getting a set (x4) of wheel spacers, i am looking at the Spidertrax 1.25":
http://www.zoneoffroad.ca/default.cf...CategoryID=183

now, i understand people use these to offset their stock rims, but i want to offset my steelies which already have a 4" OS. this will basically give me a wheel offset of 2 3/4". i want to do this because i im likely going to by 31" x 10.5" muds and i like the look of a wider tire / stance that i can only achieve with spacers. (currently have 31" x 12.5" procomps)

will stacking a spacer with my current rim cause excessive ware on bearings? i know spacers on a stock wheel is not a big deal, i am more concerned about the spacer AS WELL as my already offset wheel from stock... also, is there a chance that pushing the wheel out further will only cause the tire to hit my fender on a big flex instead of going into the wheel well on the inside of my fender? so, if i currently have a 12.5" tire and i go to a 10.5, that pulls me back 2" from what i had. pushing the wheel back out 1.25" should still leave me .75" in from what i have now.... right?

This is 3 1/2" backspacing with 31x10.50s.

With 3 1/2" backspacing and 31x10.5's, the fronts will not stuff and will come in contact with the flares, in the rear they barely stuff into the wheel wells, however they still contact the flares from time to time. With 2 3/4" backspacing, dont plan on stuffing any of your tires in the wheel wells. Period.

Thats dependant on a few things. Depending on how true of a 12.5 your pro comps are (some actually run around 12.00" wide) plays into consideration, as well as how true of a 10.5 the 10.5's are. going from the 12.5 to 10.5 will take off an inch off each side of the tire, which in the end equals out to you being .25" in from where you originally were.

thanks for the visual, thats more or less the look im going for... not sure why i have the feeling that when i go with the 31's, they will be WAAAAY inside the fender... oh well, wait and see i guess.
