Just installed my CB and got it tuned, The weird part is when i press the mic button for the CB to talk, my sub kinda Pulses for a second.

Thats weird. How do you have the cb wired up? Fuse box, battery, etc?

Just a guess but I bet you have your CB wires (probably coax?) running too close to your amp or sub wires (RCA cables?).

Nope, my cb is up front running to the battery, and my sub is in the trunk running to the battery. (obviously..lol)

Umm it may b a bad ground somewhere. Mine used to static a little bit i got a noise supressor and it helped. Might could try it if u cant figure it out

if the wire to either are even close to each other they will cause a static interference in the wires. i have my cb to the fuse box and subs to battery and all wires ran far apart from each other and i have no problems

well my dad used to be able to key his mike and make the WIRED (not wireless) intercoms at the church next door go off... man the first time that happened they thought Jesus was at their door step...

SIMPLE SOLUTION... stop listening to crap music... I mean rap music after you do that you can just get rid of the sub and start wheeling...

We really need to start a section for non-fuctional mods, like amps, subs, speakers, tvs, fart cans and rims over 18"

x2. If they do thats your issue. I have my sub hooked up straight to the battery and my cb to the fuse box.

It's not only rap music that we use subs for, rock and country sound much better with a sub if they are set up right. However, the tvs fart cans and rims over 18" I will agree with.

It is simple. The problem can be two things. The CB, does not have to be close to the sub, but close to the radio unit. Isolate the ground. Never share a ground with anything. Then you need to adjust the gain or sensitivity on the Sub amp. Look at the position of the CB antenna. I would say, ground off at the battery. Use a heavy gauge wire so that you do not get RF bleed to other wires. Ground straps are the best. Ground the sub directly to the chassis. An isolated screw on bear metal will be fine. Also, depending on the mic you have, you might want to see if you can adjust the gain. I know with my EMS radio, I can adjust that.

Of the subject... I was programming an HT1250 or a 16 channel police radio. It's a portable radio. The keying of the might was enough to shut down the desktop. The mic in itself and the RF can really do damage. FCC will chew you a new one, then explain what to do. Try adjusting the amplification or gain or sensitivity of the mic. This is a common problem!
