Default Slip Yoke Eliminator Options

Looking to get a slip yoke eliminator kit for my NP231 T.C and am wondering what the best brand would be while also trying to save as much money as possible.

I've seen Rough Trail (cheapest) for $200 shipped, Rugged Ridge for a little more, and also Rough Country's that is a little more than that.

DON'T GO CHEAP!!
I have a Tom Woods shaft with AA SYE. Tom Woods sent me the SYE so I could install it take a measurment and they sent the exact lenght shaft I needed. Got it 9 years ago. It's in it's second XJ now. No problems ever! Lots of rock scratches on the shaft and no vibes at any speed. Both XJ's it's been on are/were daily drivers.

should be fine, I have 5.5" lift and moved the rear axle back an inch and it still works for me.

If I had to do it all over again I still would go with the aa sye and Tom woods shafts. Ive never had a issue with either and I drive mine daily for the most part.

I would't go cheap on the SYE, using a front driveline wouldn't bother me any though.

I have an 8.25 and auto as well. I don't see a sale on the IRO SYE though. Can you shoot me the link?

hack and taps are pretty rugged. The IRO crew themselves use them on there own daily drivers and crawlers. saves money. but if you have real offroad plans or just want top of the line, dont go cheap and go tom wood ds too like the other guy said. but for normal applications hack and tap and front ds will be just fine and more than rugged enough.

HnTs are good if you want more work less money same deal. i myself think it to be hard. never done one but everyone says its ok and strong. I just want to cut the shaft. not thats its unsafe or not as strong just dont want to. i am sure the front DS and the sye will work with shims. just what do you feel like doing?

I don't mind the hnt but if its not as strong as the true sye, I'd rather go with that. I don't mind spending the extra money but if they are the same strength I'm always willing to save a few bucks and do a little work

You can get the Rugged Ridge for like $177 shipped off eBay.

I ordered one listed as a "Crown" and it is actually the Rugged Ridge - but paid $166 shipped for it.

It is a solid SYE and nobody I know who runs it has had any issues with it.

I'd never buy a HnT after finding this deal.

The Crown is up to $175 now from the place I got it but as I said - it is a Rugged Ridge (My box even has the RR part number and label on it).

I checked that one out but it says it's the Rough Trail Brand? If I'm not mistaqken I believe that was the cheaper one compared to Rugged Ridge.
