Skyjacker lift
I just bought a '97 xj and want to lift it. My buddy has a set of 3" Skyjacker coils and full leafs along with the lower control arms. It's only $200. Does anybody know if they are worth it? Also, what shocks does everyone suggest? I was thinking rustys hydro. What's better hydros or nitros?

Hydros are more for on road..they will be a softer ride. And nitros are a stiffer ride and would be more suited for off road use. I'm not a fan of used suspension, but Skyjacker does make decent lifts.

The lift is brand new. He got a different xj with a 6.5" long arm on it. He never got a chance to put it on his other jeep

$200 bucks for the lift I would do it. But down the road you will want a bigger lift from another company. I have that same exact lift and it is very stiff.

Does it include the track bar relocation bracket? The skyjacker lift usually includes that too.
Skyjacker makes decent stuff, in the top tier I'd say. I have that lift without the full packs and I paid way more then that. I'm replacing the AAL now, but its been great so far,...although they don't stay pretty for long. All the powdercoat has already come off the LCA and springs.

I have a drop on my 96 and my kit included the bracket so I put it on. As far as the tcase, try it. If it vibrates then invest in the drop. As far as the reloc bracket, I can't say if you really need it or not.
