Like I said multiple times I'm reading all the articles and links for this but with so much inconsistent information it makes it hard to buy proper parts, the biggest reason is that when people find what works they don't report back to let others know they work on the mentality of "I had to find it for myself so everyone else does too"
From what I have read the stock cam is enough for a stroker. You could advance the cam a few degrees for some more torque. It will save some dough too.

Just priced some machine work to prep the block when I start the stroker build, might be worth it to bore .020 over, just need to figure out my dish for the pistons when it comes time

Did you check out compression tool I linked a few posts back? You should be able to get a pretty good handle on how much to dish your pistons with that calculator.

Yeah, biggest thing now is finding an aftermarket cam, I'd hate to have no choice but comp cams so I'm submitting info forms to everyone to see what's available, and I definitely don't want stock, if all goes well I could have this done by next spring

Theirs also a few stock replacement cams that run around $200 (I plan on using the Melling MC617) that way you can keep your stock springs and save a chunk of change.

Asked for price and confirmation to use stock springs but it looks like they may be the choice since nobody else got back to me

Custom cam sounds legit. I am not that smart on cams. Have you hit up the guys on jeepstrokers.com? I would throw those numbers up in that forum to see what those guys have to say.

With the lack of available 4.2 cranks and rods around me I'm holding the stroker for a bit but I will start acquiring parts for it and build it once everything is here. Thanks for the help, those that provided any

Do you have any AMC 232 cranks in your area? Not sure how dead set you are on a 4.5+ stroker, but the AMC 232 crank in your 4.0 can build a 4.2L "mini" stroker.

Just a thought.
