Default Shock mount issue after shim install...?

Hi All,

I was curious to if any of you had any issues with the rear shock mounts after install shims? My plan was to do it right the first time around and go with a SYE and new DS, which is still what I'm thinking. After talking to a couple shops as well as Dirk at DPG... it was pointed out to me that after installing shims it throws of the rear shock mounts a little at the axle end, and I was just curious to if anyone ran into this issue before?

I'd like to avoid a tcase drop, but I also don't wanta have to pay for shims, SYE, and DS then have a shock mount issue. I plan on going with a 3.5" OME hybrid lift, so I'm thinking 2 or 4 degree shims will get my angles right if I go with a SYE and DS.

Appreciate the input!

Slide the bottom of the shock on the stud on the axle then you can push shock whatever way you need to bolt up the top. It'll be no big deal

Thanks guys. I was thinking that it didn't throw it off too much, but after hearing it, it does make sense.

Anyone else have an issues or non-issues with shock mounts after shim install?

Youre fine dont even worry about it...Maybe if you rotated your axle like 20 or something ridiculous and the shock is rubbing on the axle tube itself then id worry lol.
