Default Shake after lift?

I just recently put a rough country 3in stage 1 suspension lift on my 1999 cherokee, and after i hit 50 mph it starts shaking bad. Does anyone know how i can fix this, and whats causing it? I had my driveshaft balanced and it still shakes, do i need to put on a driveshaft extension or a syi? thanks

Well first you need to find the casue of the shake. Did you do an alignment, toe and caster? Are the tires balanced? Did you torque the suspension with the jeep on jacks or on the ground? Did you check and repair all bushings, BallJoints, U-Joints, axel bearings and TREs when you did the lift?

Had a 4.5" put on my '92 and the shop said they did an alignment. After i picked it up it would shake the whole vehicle quite violently if i got over about 45 mph. I have since learned this is known as "death wobble". After some time of trying to figure it out i took my xj to have some work done and had this other more well known shop do an alignment. They said that the first shop couldn't have aligned it because it was way out of whack. After the new alignment(and steering stabilizer) i can know go upwards of 70 mph -no death wobble. This may not be your case, but it is where i would start. Always do an alignment after suspension work. Good luck

I had it aligned right after the lift was put on. We torqued up everything with the jeep on jacks/jack stands. All the bushings are in good shape and i had new u bolts put on. I do need to check the axle bearings
