What is the length of a stock Shackle on my 00' XJ? Specifically what is the distance between the bolt centers? The reason I ask is that I have a Rubicon Express kit (long story) thats about to be put on and I had to get new shackles which didnt come with it. The ones I got seem to be provide too much lift. Im thinking I may need to re-drill the holes a little higher up.

Also, the RE 4.5" super flex kit came with leaf packs that provide 3.5" of lift on their own correct? If so then I need to make sure that my shackles give me 1-1.5" over stock.

Yes, you'd want an extra inch or inch and a half. Probably 1 1/2 would be better, if only to get a jump on sag.

Id also call the lift supplier and see what their advice is.

Beautiful.....exactly what I was looking for. The one on the left is the one I was given. Im not a fan of the raked (*** higher) look and didnt want surprises the day of the install. I think Im going to install them as is and then drive it around a day or two to get it to settle in. Then Im going to measure all four corners and re-drill the shackles as needed to get a flat and level ride.
