Alright gang. I've got Round One of crap on the way from Serious Offroad, so it's time to order Round Two.

I'm lifting my rusty-*** XJ up 3", swapping both axles, SYE, and ZJ discs. I'd appreciate another set of eyes to make sure I'm not missing anything. Some of these I have, have ordered, or am about to order:

Brake junk
- Have ZJ backing plates
- Need YJ front left, front right, and rear hoses (Dorman H38862, H38861, H38845)
- Need ZJ caliper hoses (Dorman H380226 and H380225)
- Need ZJ parking brake shoes (Wagner PAB701)
- Need ZJ parking brake hardware (Centric 11861037)
- Need ZJ rear rotors (2x Centric 12067032)
- Need ZJ rear loaded calipers (Centric 14258501 and 14258502)
- Need Front caliper pin boots (Centric 11758001)

- Need V8 ZJ tie rod (Moog DS131)
- Need V8 ZJ TREs (2x Moog ES3096L)
- Need V8 ZJ drag link (Moog DS1310)
- Need V8 ZJ adjusting sleeves (2x Mevotech MES2079S)

Suspension
- Have RE fixed LCAs
- Have 3" coils
- Ordered leaf spring bushings
- Ordered axle U bolts
- Ordered swaybar discos
- Ordered balljoints
- Waiting on 3" leafs
- Waiting on 3" shocks
- Need UCA bushing sets (2x Moog K3128)
- Need Track bar bushing (Moog K3176)
- Need required hardware at Fastenal, I anticipate on killing everything on the XJ already
- Going to redrill TB mounting if required
- body end of TB is surprisingly okay (for now anyway)

Driveline
- Have NP231
- Have HP D30 (needs work)
- Have mostly prepped C8.25
- Have fairly new hubs, shafts with U joints, and hardware
- Ordered all D30 seals
- Ordered SYE
- Ordered NP231 seals and bearings
- Need C8.25 bearings (Timken 6408)
- Need C8.25 seals (Timken 8835S)
- Need stupid rubber diff plugs (Dorman 090062)
- Need transmission mount (DEA A2625)

Engine
- Have new Ford XF2E-C4B injectors
- Have injector O-rings
- Have new fuel rail
- Have new valve cover
- have new VC gasket
- Need CCV fittings (Dorman 47079, 42344, Standard V432)
- Need throttle body gasket (Fel-Pro 60948)
- Need oil filters (WIX 51515XP)

Misc
- Have extra stock steel rims
- Have 31x10.5x15 ATs
- Have skid plates
- Need rear O2 sensor (NTK 23099)

Anything glaringly obvious I'm missing? I'm going on a 3000 KM round trip adventure in September and gotta get done for then lol.

I'd add an adjustable track bar to the list. My MJ had a relocated stock track bar when I got it, didn't work as well as the RE adjustable I put on my XJ.

What was your issue with the relocation? I've read that some guys drill the hole too large and it wallows out fast, others run with relocations for years and no problem.

I'm happy if I can last at least two months before problems. I love the idea of a proper double-shear setup but adjustable track bars for only 3" lift and on my timeline and budget are very very hard to find

On my MJ the factory track bar would bind and limit downtravel of the suspension offroad. The hole was starting to enlarge as well, after less than two months of use.
On my 87 XJ, I needed a new track bar to center the axle at only 1.5" of lift, I went with the RE adjustable for 3.5-4.5" lift and its perfect for my setup. Doesnt bind like the MJ did either, I have enough downtravel to unseat the springs on short arms now.

It'll be ok but adjustable is better obviously. I redrilled my 2wd beam

Just a heads up on the ZJ disc upgrade... You may need slightly longer wheel studs. I am running the Canyon Aluminum rims and the stock studs were a few threads too short when I mounted them with the discs. If you are sticking with the stock steel rims, your studs may be plenty long.

I'm pretty sure the zj drag link is identical to the stock xj one, maybe someone can verify that

Good catch, I'll add studs. Thanks!

Yeah it is, I just added it from the ZJ page instead of the XJ page. I think my steering might be original

I have ZJ calipers (totally shot) and ZJ caliper hoses (should work).

OH! I also have ZJ emergency brake shoes as well. (They have a $5 core.)

If you don't already have cores to get money back you can have everything for the cost of shipping + $0.99.

Oh, and yes. If you're running steel wheels use the ZJ lug studs. They're like 1/8" longer or something stupid like that but you need it. (Dorman 610-234)

Oh, and they make rear brake cables for XJs with discs (the parking brake cable). They cost about $55 shipped to your house.

Ain't no cores here. JY wanted more than the core charge is even worth on this ****!

I forgot about the parking cable. I've seen others just modify theirs to grip the lever, it seems fairly straightforward.

Oh jeez. Tell me aboot it ey?

Go for it then. If you planned on buying different ones though (like for the KJ) dont. They make them specially for XJs with discs.
