Rusty's vs Zone vs RC
I'm looking at the 3 inch lift, all using the add a leaf in the rear. I've heard that the RC control arm bushings are bad so I'd just get control arms separate on whatever kit I got. What company is best and for what reason?

EZEARL has it right. The extra cost of a full leaf pack lift is worth it. Plus chances are your leaf spring and shackle bushings need replaced anyway.
Zone is excellent I have their 3 inch leaf pack lift kit on my XJ and couldnt be happier
I'm not speaking against Rustys or Rough Country. Just speaking against add a leafs

Add a leafs are terrible with the stock springs, RC isn't good quality, and shipping is outrageous for the Rusty's lift. Zone is my recommendation out of those 3.
Gotcha, because of money, I'm going with add a leaf instead of full leaf, and the zone lift comes with shocks. I know it's not gonna be a Cadillac, but should it be alright?

If you have the time to wait for a sale, I highly recommend doing that. I saved $83 bucks and got free shipping by waiting for a sale on Quadratec.com. that savings alone paid for new coil spring insulators and the wishbone nut thing for the upper rear shock bolts

When I was pricing out lift kits, I found that you seem to get way more bang for your buck by going with Rubicon Express. The base kits from Zone and Rusty’s don’t come with control arms or sway bar links and by the time you add those in, upgrade to better shocks and pay shipping it ends up being the same price, if not more, than the Rubicon Express.

Are the RE control arm bushings not good? I’m just referencing what you would get if you went for the add a leaf kit in the link below. It might be slightly more expensive but better quality from the research I’ve done. I suppose I’ll have a more educated answer after I install my kit this weekend

This is what an add a leaf does to your factory leaf springs. This Jeep has had less than 5,000 miles put on it since the install.

Every single one here is telling you not to do it for a reason. We've all been there and done that. LISTEN to what we're trying to say, or don't, and find out the hard way.
