looks like the "free" shipping is only for amazon prime members.

someone find out how much it costs to ship one of those things. the one from seriousoffroad really has free shipping

Nope, it's free standard shipping.

You can get free two-day shipping with Prime.

Shipped free, it just takes longer without Prime.

I bought mine from Frank a couple months ago for $145+shipping which worked out to be right at $160.

Amazon also has a free prime membership trial period. So use that and get 2 day shipping. Their standard shipping is just as fast though

Prime pays for itself... $70 something a year, free 2-day shipping.

But this ships free even if you don't have prime... killer deal.

If you click on the link that shows all of the sellers you'll see Amazon is still selling it for $144. They also have 'open box' with minor cosmetic damage for $114.
