Default Rubicon Express 3.5" lift

Does anyone elses RE lift still have a rake to the front? the front seems to sit about an inch lower then the rear. Most lifts will level the vehicle out. Seems not on this Cherokee. It does have JKS control arms instead of the RE control arms but the springs are still full replacement springs that came with the lift.

I am thinking about swapping in 4.5" front springs to level it out. anyone else do this?

also I know I saw a chart of axle to certain sections to determine lift heights. anyone else have this link?

It seems as thought the front springs may be 4.5" RE springs. the part numbers on my front springs are front RM 60010. im guessing that is an internal RE number. I did confirm that the front spring number is the 4.5" spring. The rubber bushing I am about to put a picture of I believe is the factory bushing.

The rear also has a 3/4" Rustys shackle which seems to still not be to tall... all stock otherwise.

Here is a pic as the Jeep sits. the parking lot slops a bit but you can see that even with the 4.5" front spring and the added 3/4" rear rustys shackle it is a lot lower in the front. About 1 "

I believe this is the factory spring isolator. anyone know? It appears that way.

This is the part number on the front spring that RE confirmed is a 4.5" spring

This is the JKS shackle that is 3/4" long then stock. I believe htis angle should be better. but without moving anything else nothing I can do.

I have the RE 3.5 superflex kit and mine sits at 5" in the rear and 4.5" in the front. I'm pretty sure yours is normal. It will sag a little bit over the next few months as everything settles.

I don't know if that will go for you now that I read into your post more because it seems as if your lift is pieced together. The springs are 4.5" springs, but unless you know what the rear packs are it is gonna be hard to tell how high or low it is suppose to sit.

It was purchased as a 3.5" kit, arms changed to JKS 2 months ago and front springs changed out. rear is a replacement 3.5" spring with a 3/4" rustys shackles. Have tracked all this down looking through reciepts and tracking part numbers on parts that were actually manufacturing numbers.

I am in the process of making everything 100%. I believe the tie rod ends need replacing so Ill probably just upgrade to a Currie Steering set up.. then it is headed to the girls jeep when I get my long arm stuff.

Wonder what happened to quality control when they sent you 4.5" springs. Haha. But back to the point. Re kits give you more lift than advertised (as you probably already know) but they also sit higher in the rear. A factory xj is suppose to sit about a half inch higher in the rear anyways but if yours is sitting an inch higher in the rear thats not really normal. If you plan on upgrading anyways I say just leave it. Long arm is definitely the way to go.

Well the rear springs are only 3.5" springs. so who knows.

all stock jeeps sit raked as most trucks too. but almost every lift will advertise front lift and the rear will be less leveling the keep out

The rear shackle is most of the prob. or lift diff. at that angle the shackle will yield all of the added length in added height .

It is common for a kit to be put together with rear springs 1 " shorter and then add a 1" shackle to make up the diff. Not real sure what you have but I have been told by RC that they have sold springs to most all lift mfg.when they need springs in a pinch. So if true who knows.I do know that RE did offer a 3.5 and a 4.5 leaf pack. So shorten the shackle or if it was me add alcos or 1.75 to 2" puck up front. Good luck

The RM60010 is a 4.5" spring. The RE6030 3.5" superflex kit comes with the RE1300 3.5" front coil (RM60120) and the RE1463 rear 3.5" spring. The kits are designed to sit up in the rear to accommodate the weight of all your gear and swingout. If you don't have these items it will sit up in the rear. A full inch difference is not uncommon.

The RE6130 kit 4.5" kit will have the RE1310 4.5" front coil (RM60010) and the same rear spring as the 3.5" kit, RE1463. It will also have the RE2700 rear shackle which will give about 5/8" lift.

I have the RE 3.5" and the rear of my XJ sits up an inch higher in the rear also.

However, why is the front end so damn stiff? OP, does your XJ ride really rough in the front with the RE springs?
