Rubicon Express 2" Budget Lift
I Like it. My '96 is the same color and trim package. Yours looks great. Gives me some inspiration. I want to do a modest lift as well and this one looks like the ticket. Thanks for posting.
You got the Tacoma killer looking good. Nothing better than a clean classic XJ. '89 Pioneer model introduced me to the off road world. Drive a lifted WJ now (don't cast stones, still has Cherokee in the name) but I had the most fun in that XJ.
Got off topic. Keep upgrading and keep wheeling.

I am still putting the front axle of my Cherokee back together. While replacing the ball joints and other stuff, I found one of the axle u-joints to be pretty crusty. I replaced it last night but ran out of time before I could get it all back together. It should be back on the road tonight; looking forward to a test drive.
[QUOTE=RickBois;3322024]Thanks for the kind words. The Cherokee is for my 18yo son who will be leaving for Air Force basic training next month. We (I) have been working on it since we (I) found it in early July. I mess around mostly with 90's era BMWs, but I have become very attached to the Cherokee and may have to find one for myself after this one goes away with him. Maybe he'll get stationed overseas and I can keep it for a while longer...
Good thinking. Everyone I know that has ever had a Jeep or used one for a while ends up always having one. The Cherokee is hard to beat for aftermarket support, capability, space and budget. Keep me posted on your upgrades. Would be glad to help you outfit your son's Jeep and yours.

Yes I did get my lift plan is to start on it Saturday. I also ordered front axel u joints and hubs because I am in need of u joints and it looks like while I am there I might as well do hubs.
Most of my bushings up front look pretty good. If doing the lift and hubs goes well I might look into ordering and replacing some of the bushings. I didn't think to check into my leaf pack bushings. Maybe I should get some ordered up just in case.

I finally got the suspension/steering refresh done, well almost. The Cherokee is back together. I did the DIY alignment and the car rides and tracks like new, well almost.
I neglected to change out the driver side axle u-joint while doing the refresh, and once in a while I can hear it pop. So I've got to go back in and get it done, stupid...
Here is a shot of the driver side after replacing the ball joints. I should probably swap out those old brake lines for some SS lines. Seems like all the SS brake line kits I find either: a) include the rear line which I don't need (one came with the lift), or b) are made for a 4-6" lift which seems like they would be too long.

The local parts store had these greasable u-joints for $10ea... This one is standing by waiting for installation on the driver side, stupid...

Jeep looks good. You are getting some killer deals on parts. Those spacers are a great price, especially hub centric.

Thanks. And yes I was happy to find those adapters. I was surprised to see so set of NON hub-centric adapters for sale. I am still looking for a $50 set of SS front brake lines...

I did get my lift installed. I'll be going down your path of front U joints and hubs this weekend.

I have 235/75/15s on there now. I think I could go a little bigger like you did. Shocks were done. No rebound after compressed.

Getting any rubbing on those 30.5s?
