Default Rubicon Express

Hey Guys,

i am looking into some lifts right now. Problem is, that in Germany it is kindda hard to get by all the brands.

I found something that i can buy. Some Old man Emu, which is not my first choice.

King Shocks is to expensive.

Trailmaster ( donīt know if you have it in the states ) is kindda ok

but then i found Rubicon Express. I
am looking at the 3,5 super Flex i think it is called.

Any suggestions. If i am fitting a 3,5ī, i think i have to do some changes to the driveshaft aswell right ?

And a stupid question. What is the SYE and CV. I canīt remember the words that it stands for .....

Sye is the slip yolk eliminator, that's the part of the driveline you change. Keeps your drive shaft from falling out/damaging.
Cv would be constant velocity. Which is an external axle shaft rather than one inside of a case style axle

Rubicon Express is definitely a great lift company. I install quite a few of these kits on cherokee's. The 3.5 super flex kit is excellent and works very well. I just installed this kit on a customers 2001 cherokee last week but replaced the leaf springs instead of the add-a-leaf. This was probably the hardest part of the install. Expect the rear upper shock bolts to break. This can be a nightmare for inexperienced installers. I'd also recommend adding a 1-1.5" coil spacer in the front (if going with the new leaf pack) as the rear end will sit about 2.5" higher until the leafs break-in and sag.

You'll also need a transfer case drop to avoid driveshaft vibration. A slip yoke eliminator isnt necessary at this lift height. I recommend a skyjacker tcase drop. it's by far the easiest i've installed. getting the tcase bolts out is another story.

Any questions please ask

Hey, actually just found out it is a ī92 modell. Just did not get registered till ī93.

Does not make any diffrence. It is the High Output version already.

Ok, now the lift.

I am thinking about the super flex short arm 3,5ī

Just trying to figure out what the diffrence ist between the super ride and the super flex.

I am defently goin with the leaf pack instead of add a leaf, because mine needs to be changed.

I have to change the shocks aswell. Anything special i have to take care off. What kind of shocks ??

Every one here will say bilstine 5100 if you have the $$$ go for it. I used pro comp whit body shocks there the 9000 model and they ride nice. I think I payed 100$ out the door for all 4. But my old shocks were too short for my lift and causing me to ride rough. Mine are still too short I feel but they ride nice I'm sitting on 4.5" short arm lift. Not a kit just a priced together set up

Weird thing is Bilstein's are made in Germany but I don't think they market the 5100 anywhere in Europe. I can only find the B6 and B8??

That 3.5" Super Flex will set a bit higher than 3.5
I ran 3.5" RE leafs and got almost 5" out of them...and a bad shackle angle.

If it were me and you were just trying to get to 3.5" id piece together a kit.

3.5" RE coils, The super flex lowers (Uppers would be a nice addition, but arent necessary at all), and a 2" leaf pack..plus an extended shackle

Ok, just ordered it. 3,5 inch complete kit with leaf springs package.

It will take about a month to get it here. And i ordered pro comp shocks with it. Bilstein 5100 you canīt get in Germany. And we donīt like BIlstein that much over here anyhow. Personally, i donīt like the German 4x4 suspension because it is pretty much limited at 2,5 inch. Because of pedestrian safety and laws and regulations and all kind of ****.

It is hard to get Mickey Thompson tires without getting trouble with the vehicle inspectors over here.
Really looking forward to see the guys face when he looks under the truck and seeīs the red cherry bomb glass pack !! Which i am ordering next week.

If you are not aware, extra lift over that height is very easy to do. If you're trying to avoid scary import costs on a full kit, 2.5" OME leaf springs with a 1" lift shackle is a very good combination that gets you where you want. Up front you can do 2.5" coils and a 1" spacer.

I can tell you it is going to ride stiff as hell with the procomp shocks,

if you can get some Fox shocks I would go with them or find a Old Man Emu shock that will work
