Has anyone ever swapped the Rubicon 5 speed trans into their 5 speed XJ?

 

do you mean the newer 6 speed?? or the older 5 speeds?

 

Older 5 speed. Mine has one from the previous owner, but the problem im running into is the center console. 2nd 4th and reverse all hit the console. I am just curious if anyone has designed a console for this set up.

 

just modify the shift lever...

put a bend in it, or make a new one. That is going to be the easiest option

 

I was gonna try that but its right at the collar, so its huge right where is hits.
