Nothing's stopping anyone from running them. Go ahead. Do you think the guy at the retread shop enjoys his job ? I'm sure he guarantees every used tire he grinds down and glues tread onto. Go for it. They scream quality and safety.

Same with Interco producing half of their tires in China... God knows what goes on there.
You really can't know what kind of quality and safety you're getting...
That's a terrible argument to use, especially since he was talking about TreadWright, the company, not some shade-tree mechanic who hot-knifes tires in his spare time.
As I said...

Then a computerized machine wraps a continuous ribbon of new Full Grade Truck Rubber on the tire for the specific mold and tread design the tire will have.
We then computer balance each tire.
The tire is then "cured" and given a new tread design.
Once the tire has cooled we do a thorough inspection and testing of the tire to ensure it was made correctly and is safe for use.
Blahhh blahhh blahhh... New part...
Now with new rubber from bead to bead so both sidewalls are new, resistant to weather and ozone cracking, and carry the TreadWright name.
