I would do a combo of the shackle and a bastard pack. chances are your rear is only 1.5-2" lift with your current shackle
add a main leaf from a used XJ pack that should get you another 1-1.5" then use that with the shackle.
if the rear sets too high add a 1/2 puck in the front
extended shackles and a lower arched leaf spring will flex and ride better than stock height shackles and higher arched leafs

rough country has 2 3" kits... one comes with the lowers the cheaper 1 doesnt, the cheaper 1 also dosnt (i think?) come with the sway bar drops the other 1 comes with..
also the kit adds 3" in the front but the add a leaf only adds 2", rough country says thts on purpose because the cherokee came from the factoy 1" shorter in the front (there words not mine)
i dont know why they chose that because cherokee rear springs sag like granny ****... to save costs if you want on buying another kit you could just order a trac bar and set of lowers for front and buy or fab a shackle kit for rear...i also recomend the YJ flex brake line upgrade... you dont need it for this kit but its recommended a pitman arm drop and either a SYE or t-case drop

I agree with most of what you said except for the drop pitman arm. That is not needed at 3".

it is definetly not needed but between 3-4" is where i was informed that is the brink of where you should let your stock 1 go to.

My 3" aal came out the box all fitted with no other parts changed.
seems to drive same as before lift, taking into account height difference and 31 tyres.
End of lift expense.

and it settled at 3.25" in the rear
I appreciate the input from everyone. Instead of trying to fix this cheap a$$ lift im just going to wait it out save the money and go with long arm. They really arent that expensive from RC. Then i would get the SYE drop pitman arm and brake lines. Are the shocks from RC that come in the newer kits decent cause if so i would just trade em out with some better ones. I want to go with the 6.5" and run 33s. So would there be anything else that i would need that is not listed above?
