A new trackbar.
If you're going to invest in a lift and shocks I'd recommend saving up and getting the kit that includes monotube shocks. the twin tube shocks won't last as long and they don'y ride as well either.

Some folks find that they need an SYE kit as well. I'd suggest installing the lift and drive it to see if you really need one.

Some folks use a front driveshaft from a 91+ AW4 equipped XJ along with their SYE kit. Keep in mind that the front driveshaft is much smaller in diameter compared to the rear driveshaft.
If you decide to get a new driveshaft, this is what I offer.

The rear axle (pinion) must also be raised so that the pinion is pointing directly at the output of the transfer case. There are 2 ways to do this.
#1) Use shims and new centering pins to change thre angle.

#2) Cut off the existing perches and weld new anti-wrap perches on. This allows for precise driveline angles and is worth the added cost IMHO.

Some advice from on old guy that's been through this on my own rigs and countless others as well.....
Do it once, do it right.
We all get antsy and want to jump into the deep end of the pool from time to time, but it can be a frustrating experience. Wait a bit and do some research on what it takes to safely lift your rig and what products are worth your hard earned money.

I work in a Mustang resto shop, and run into this all the time. People run themselves ragged(and broke) trying to find the "best deals" on parts. End up buying stuff 2 and 3 times because this part doesn't work with that part, these control arms in that "great deal" suspension kit are flimsy and poorly made.
Phone call;
"Alamo Classic"
- Hi, I ordered a turn signal switch online for my 65 and I can't figure out how to route the wires down the column.
"You know, we have those in stock."
- Ya I know, but it was cheaper from (brand x).
"Sir, maybe you should call them and ask."
- I did, they told me to google it.
"We have a slot open next week, you're welcome to bring your car in and we can install it for you."
- You can't just tell me how???
"If you'd bought it from us, I would've told you how to install it before you left the store. But this isn't a soup kitchen, it's a business, and I'm not here to be a free tech line to help you install parts you bought somewhere else. Sorry."
- Rude, how much will you charge to install it?
"$85"
Yep, I get PM's and emails from folks that have bought elsewhere and they ask me for help installing or adjusting whatever it is they purchased.....I don't even bother replying any more.
I just SMH.

refer to my earlier posts. You MIGHT need an SYE after installing your lift.
after installing my RE 3.5" lift it vibrated like hell. ia friend had a t-case drop kit laying around so i put that on until i save the money to do the SYE. no more vibrations, so much nicer to drive. still going to do the SYE though. just need to save th emoney and gather the parts..

My .02 save your money and buy a better quality kit from who ever you like. High quality springs leafs/coils are the main thing. All of the cheap shocks are just that CHEAP from where ever you buy an entry level kit you should expect that.
The size of the tires you end up running when you finally finish up lifting your XJ and most all go higher. Read for a few weeks here to see all that is needed for what lift, then read about the quality of the lift you looking at here also and at NAXJA site. It will save you money in the long run instead of rushing into something.
BTW good luck and WELCOME to the forum glad to have you. Don't be afraid to ask questions if you have searched and can't find it, some have been asked 100's of times.

I have the 4.5 inch rough country lift and like it with exception of the track bar which is total crap. I broke the track-bar in the first year and installed a Rubicon express together with their HD mount and cross brace
