i have 96 jeep xj 4.0 4x4 its kinda like a base model but it has 4x4 so idk im looking to do a roof rack but there is no factory rack to mount it to does anyone know of a way to mount one iv herd that i would have to drll holes through roof but im looking for a better soloution

 

Lots of gutter-mount racks available out there which are stronger than a factory rack anyway and require no drilling/cutting of any of your Jeep. I put mine on when I need it and leave it off the rest of the time. I just have a couple Thule load bars since the only thing I put up top so far is my canoe. Consider it an advantage that you don't have the factory rack making your roof more vulnerable to rust--I do.
