I Have a 8.25 with 3.55 gear in my 2000 and I want to swap 4.10 gears. I understand mine Is a 29 spline but I can only find ring and pinion for 27 spline. Can I use JUST the ring an pinion from the 27 into my 29 with no problem?

 

Yep, I believe there will be no difference in the ring and pinion. Carrier, spiders and shafts will be different.

Unless you're getting the parts really cheap don't bother. The difference in 3.55 and 4.10 aren't noticeable.

 

Well that's simply bad info. There is a substantial difference in performance between 3.55's and 4.10.
